The Dishy Wish

Today we went to go and see the big dish. It was awesome to see. It would turn around until it found something. It found planets.

The Dish

At the dish my favorite thing was the dish. It is good. Kai

Forbes Photos

Day 2

Spent the night at Jarilderie, on the banks of the billabong creek. Not a bad spot once we got to see it the next morning. After breakfast we packed up and left at about 10am. With a lunch stop we reached Forbes.

Forbes is a really picturesque town, with a beautiful lake. After visiting the information centre we found that they had free camps down by the lake. The kids went to bed early after another day or driving, keen to check out the dish at Parkes tomorrow morning.

The weather has been great so far, we had a quite warm day and cool but still nights. I'm definitely not missing the Geelong sea breeze.

Spewing that we cant get a footy score on the radio. Lucky for the internet. Cats up at half time.

Adlethan

On the way to Forbes we stopped for lunch at Adlethan and played on the playground. The best bit was climbing. kai

I enjoyed playing with the chalk at Forbes. At Forbes we are camping for the night in our camper trailer.

troubled start!

Well we didn't get to leave until 4:30pm, as we had problems with the camper trailer lights :( . What works a week before doesn't always work on the day you leave!

Got to Tocumwal at 9:30pm, to find that the town beach camping ground where we planned to stay the night was closed due to damaged tracks. We did check the gov website that said it was open.

Ended out pushing on to Jerilderie, where we found a beautiful riverside overnight rest stop just out of town. Thank God for the camps 6 book in finding this one!

We will add some photos of our first day later on as we are now pushing on further north.
