Today we did a bit of moving around. We headed from Hastings Point through to Byron Bay for a look, lunch at Ballina and stopped for two nights at Iluka.
It was a quick drive to Byron Bay, which is an interesting town, full of hippies and the like. I spoke to a old man who didn't seem to have all of his marbles that told me that i am strong and that im a rock star. What do you say to that. Thanks, i replied. Went for a walk on the beautiful beach and we all bought an icecream.
We stopped for lunch at Ballina and then moved on down the coast until we arrived at Iluka. It is a small town that we plan on visiting more tomorrow. Supposedly the beach is really nice here.
While we setup the kids had two swims in the pool, one before tea and one after. Because we didn't have a lot of time to get organised, we bought sausages and had some bread and salad with it.
We are finding that most of the smaller towns with small caravan parks seem to have the friendlier people staying in them.
Other campers here have fires, so we will probably have one tomorrow. I will suss out the details in the morning.
Thanks for reading!
Justin
